Lithium Bromide

Lithium Bromide is most commonly used as the absorption component of the refrigerant system in industrial absorption chillers.

Due to its hygroscopic properties it is also an essential component in many industrial processes such as medicinal humectants and fungicides, protein-swelling agents in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, as a catalyst and reagent in organic reactions, and as an electrolyte component in lithium batteries.
